the lid is leaking

I bought this bottle for my boyfriend's birthday. At first I thought it was easy to carry and easy to drink. But it was terrible that the lid had leaked. The bottle itself is very good. Retains heat and cold well. But if anyone is buying, suggest to buy another bottle that doesn't come with this lid

First time using my Hydro flask it slipped out of my hand dropping to the ground. When I picked it up the bottom edge was dented and had a crack. Would have thought these would be more durable.
