Keeps liquids hot, lid is a pain to open and clean -- uncleanable by anyone with wrist issues

The lid does a great job of keeping liquids hot. To get this insulation, the lid takes a lot of physical force to open and take apart (really can't be used by anyone with any wrist or grip issues). It comes apart into 4 very hard to clean parts. You have to be diligent with a brush or bristle to get inside everything. If you don't put the orange rubber gasket in *exactly* right, it will leak. After about a year, my gasket is getting darker and darker from coffee. I would not recommend this lid due to maintenance and ableism implied in the force required to take it apart.
This leaks while trying to drink out of it, causing spilling….Very upset!!!! I didn’t think I would have such an issue. Especially drinking coffee, and it spilling on my shirt.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this for my dad. He was looking for a replacement to the one he lost. He loves it! Keeps drinks cold for hours, wide enough to fit ice cubes in, he loves the twist cap and handle. The next one I get him I'll have it engraved.

I am a big hydro flask fan and prefer it over any of the other flask/bottle brands…but this was a major flop in my book:
1. The lid is too complicated. This bottle has a weird 3 step de-assembly that you HAVE to get used to if you plan on cleaning your bottle after every use. If you choose not to de assemble it, you’ll be left with a nasty coffee residue. Getting this step is highly important or else you drink will end up everywhere (I learned the hard way)
2. It doesn’t keep hot drinks hot. I’ve only used it for coffee so I’m not sure about cold drinks. I commute, so it’s important for my drinks to stay HOT hours after I leave my house. My commute is about 1.5hrs and by the time I get to my destination, my drink is lukewarm.
I never write reviews but this was a major disappointment (or maybe I had my hopes up too high?) and not worth the price. I am returning and finding another bottle. I suggest you save yourself the trouble and find another bottle!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a very good coffee, hot drink travel mug. I’m not crazy about the lid that has to be disassembled to clean. My daughter had an earlier version of your hot drink travel mug that had a very nice flip closer that was not complicated at all to clean and it kept the drink very hot. Do you have any of those previous mugs
