1. The inReach function is a completely different program than previous Garmin Mini inReach and other inReach devices uses. I bought this thinking the watch would replace two devices (my previous watch and inReach mini- win!)— however this is not the case. The new inReach on the watch uses a different file format that is not supported by other race formats like Trackleaders or Dotwatchers. This is in the fine print after I dug into it. — disappointing.
2. Battery life— even when turning off satellite functions and minimizing connections— battery life isn’t 1/2 of what they advertised. This is really disappointing.
I returned the watch and reverted back to my previous Enduro 2. I’m disappointed Garmin— do better.
How’s little hesitant to upgrade from fénix 8 pro to 9 pro solar. Now that I have it for about a month or so, I am glad I did. I have yet to charge this watch yet. Solar function is really good at recharging the watch. Also, full titanium case feels and looks premium. No plastics. Overall, I think this awesome product.
Great device, but for me it turned out to be too heavy, a large body, a small display - in my scenarios it will work out in this model: running, gym, work. I changed to the amoled version, and so far I am satisfied. I think the choice of Enduro 4 makes more sense.
The 3 is for buyers remorse. There are lots of great watch faces available for the Fenix 9 Pro series watches.... except the Solar model. I am regretting getting the Solar option. A very powerful and able watch, but with everything customizable means there are way more features and options to fully grasp. But I am wearing this watch every day and do enjoy many (ok, some of the known) features.
