I call this a pot because of the depth. I find myself reaching for it all of the time. Does a great job for soups and stews. It is lightweight which makes it easy to handle but the sturdiness of stainless steel gives it durability. The high gloss finish gives it a decorative touch against the stainless étagère. A great buy!
This beautifully constructed "Chefs Classic Series Multi-Purpose Pan with Glass Lid was purchased Fall 2017...the best purchase I made that year! Not only is it beautiful...the functionality of this pan is unequal to any of the other pans in our much used kitchen! This "often used" pan is my first choice for "one pot meals"..I can braise meat, saute vegetables, and construct savory soups and stews in this generously accommodating 5.5quart pan! It is such an elegantly sculpted piece- it goes from stove to table for serving...it's Stainless Steel construction is easily maintained....I wash it in hot water and dish detergent....rinse off well....dry off thoroughly and display it on top of the stove(it's so pretty), until it's displayed in it's usual position in- the front of the dining room cookware shelf! What a remarkable-useful piece of kitchen equipment!Thank You Cuisinart!
We bought this about two month’s back and brought back with us for use in India. Overall, we are happy about this cookware in terms of its finish and the fact that the handles remain cool even when used on high flame. Since our Indian cooking needs higher temperature(on high flame), we would have prefered a thicker gauge for the bottom. A great value for the money we spent.
