While I realize this bar is very low, I bought this because none of the hand me down pots and pans I have had a flat bottom. Cooking with them was infuriating, but I could not buy a nice set all at once. This pan was the first pan I bought to remedy that. Because of its size, it's versatile. It's sturdy but not incredibly heavy. Because of having this pot, I am back to cooking more often than not.
