Locking mechanism

The only thing that I don't like is the when the waffle expands while cooking the waffle maker locks and sounds like it's going to explode. The food then starts oozing out the sides making a huge mess.
That locking mechanism is dangerous and should allow for the food to expand without danger.

Haven't used it yet, I just bought this today. Everything I've read seems very nice. What I like at this point is you get a measuring cup, the dial for how dark you'd like your waffle and the light come back on to let you know when your waffle is ready.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am so excited about this waffle maker. I got to throw away my nasty old one that I could never get clean from the oil spray. It had no need for spray or oil since the waffle iron is nonstick. It is constructed in such a way that it won’t overflow especially if you use the cup it comes with. It has multiple settings for waffle doneness and it was browned to perfection and nice and crisp. Excellent waffle maker and I would purchase again.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have to say that I’ve had a few waffle makers over the years and I really had no issues with them. But the key thing that sets this Chefman Waffle Maker apart is the fact that it will not overflow and minimizes cleanup! That was the main issue with other waffle makers and the process of trying to clean edge irons without getting too much water on them and causing an issue.
I’ve made about twelve waffles so far and the engineering and design that keeps this model from overflowing is genius. Great job Chefman!

I just love the no mess feature, making clean up a breeze. Another benefit is the range of settings so I could have light, fluffy waffles or more toasted, solid ones. Definitely a must have!

The clean up was easy and the waffle maker was easy enough for my 11yr old to use. She has been making waffles and ice cream every night. I think if you are contemplating you should just buy it you won't be disappointed

Great Anti-Overflow Protection

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm liking the Chefman anti- overflow waffle machine as it sets down in to make the waffles to avoid the Overflow. It comes with a measuring cup so that you know the right amount to put in, and you can experiment with what you're making if you need a little more or less. It's pretty self-explanatory on the directions, clean it off before you use it with a damp cloth and if you need to use oil brush a little on. It tells you do not use the sprays that come in the can because it will build up over time and cause it to stick. Just brush off the crumbs and start your next waffle. I like to make chaffles in this one comes out perfect. And the settings are from 1to 5 setting and you can experiment on what color you would like your waffles the lighter or darker, perfect perfection. I also like the way the handle is you pinch it together to open up and it unlocks, press it back down locks and down.
