Item supposedly doesn't require anti-stick sprays but it frequently sticks closed and is difficult to open to retrieve waffles about the third use despite thorough cleaning. I don't use it often add a result. I would not recommend for that reason but it does cool thoroughly; it's just a matter of whether or not you can get the waffle out when it sticks closed.

I haven't used it yet, but I believe it is going to make nice waffles from the craftsmanship of the waffle maker.
