Over but not in the ear is perfection

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Okay, so I use my dad as a litmus test for just how ‘easy’ tech is and this one passed. Although I had to show him what the Bluetooth menu was (in the settings menu of most devices), pairing was a matter of switching BT off then back on to discover them after placing them over the ear and pressing to pair, easy as that. It will take him some getting used to that they can auto switch between two devices and the initial setups each time but once you pair, it’s super simple to expect them to connect and play.
They hook over the ear and don’t go inside so they are not noise reducing but this also means they are super comfortable and have really concentrated sound, both indoors and the noisy outdoors. They stay put, even with bending and moving around, which most earbuds can’t pull off. Similarly, most over the ear ones that can do that are not nearly this comfortable or effortless to put on. They are super lightweight and flexible so you don’t feel like they’re fragile either.
The charging dock itself has a really short included cable which is still generous, considering some brands don’t include cables, but if you want a longer cable, luckily you probably use this kind for your phone (USB-C) and probably have extras lying around. Under the lid, there is a little instruction guide using symbols to indicate how to do operations from the earpieces. This went a little over my dad’s head, but I told him he can use the apps on his phone or remotes for the TV to do what he would use it for. And he can always tell upstairs at me if he can’t manage that much.
These wouldn’t be my first Belkin products since I know the price and quality are among the best so I know they’re reliable. I had been looking at getting my dad these for quite some time but I could never find ones he wouldn’t easily lose or were easy enough for him to operate. Luckily, these fit the bill so I highly recommend them for ALL ages (above the age where you put all things in your mouth anyway) which can be a rare find for tech.
Easy to share one with someone but not with the icky earwax problem either. Would’ve loved these as a teenager!
