We purchased this for our TV station to connect to one of our KVMs. It is -much- better than a simple pull-out rack for a miniature keyboard and mouse, which ends up being quite cramped. Plus we save the rack space of having to have a monitor in the rack. The keyboard is basically full-size and there's a trackpad... some of our engineers don't like using a trackpad, but we use the USB pass-through to let them plug in a mouse, so it's great! We did need to buy a special cable, USB Type A to USB Type A, to get the pass-through connected up though. Build quality is outstanding.

I have several different model/brands of rackmount consoles and this is by far the best. large easy to read flat-screen and full keyboard and track pad. Never had a problem with it.
