lego fighter tank

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My family loves Star Wars and this Republic fighter tank was a fun kit to put together. This lego kit is for ages 7+ and I think the age range is right on target for this kit. My son needed very minimal help but we worked together on organizing the lego's out of the bag and I helped a bit with some of the smaller pieces. He really stayed focused on it and took a few breaks but overall it took a few hours to complete.
This set includes labeled bags and step by step instructions, so even a novice lego builder should have no trouble building this.
The bottom of the tank has wheels which is fun for rolling it around during play. I also really like the moving doors & hatches as well as the working shooters. It includes 6 figures including Mace Windu, 2 droids and 3 storm troopers. My boys had so much fun battling together with this set and are already asking for some other battle ships to add to their collection.

Good Value But 1 Flaw

The mini-figure selection is great for this price point. The only problem I have and heard others have about this set is the build quality of the tank. It feels like a juniors set mixed with a regular set. It is disproportionate and lacks details that could have easily been added at the same price point.

I dont think I'm alone in believing that the first clone wars republic fighter tank was a superior set to this. That being said, I build to collect and display, not really to play. I do think this is a good value for what it is. To be honest, I picked this up just for the Mace Windu minifig, but it made me realize that one day I really hope they decide to make a UCS version of this vehicle.

It looks like it’s advertised to fit all three clones in the tank but you can’t, I feel like for the size of the tank you should be able to, it’s super cool tho and the clones design is awsome

Old Republic Tank is Superior

The design of this tank is awesome. It has little wheels underneath so can roll on the floor, and the platform is big enough to carry easily 5-6 figures. my almost 4 year old loves this tank, and it is sturdy enough to get smashed without it completely falling apart.
Building was also a lot of fun, and with toddler help, took around 30 minutes.

Inaccurate and a joke (great minifigs tho)

Tank is a inaccurate mashup of two different versions
( Star wars battlefront 2 the old game and the new game). It takes aspects from both and is just bad and ugly. Much like the tank in the Ahsoka set. Garbage that would ruin my lego display. More spare parts I guess.

The Good: The minifigs are exclusive to this set as of right now and we will likely never get these purple clones ever again. Its great to get 6 figs at this price.
If you are unaware, this mace windu had arm printing with the armor he wears in the clone wars show. This is the best mace windu minifig by far.

Lego why make something that collectors want and dont make enough of it for them to buy? Limit 2? You have people wanting to buy dozens and make clone armies. joke

Original trilogy is not cool. Mace window is cool. Only complaint is I thought it came with sand like in the picture. False apple tying
