A waste of your money

Don't waste your money on this over priced coffee the machine. The feature of Accu-Brew is terrible, The amount of coffee it says to put in is way more than needed. There is not way to calibrate the weights. You will only ever push the brew now button after putting in the amount of coffee you need. So just buy a good $100 coffee machine and you will get the exact same result. Also this coffee machine has a small hot air port at the back of it that I did not realize was there and it is hard to see and this port melted the varnish on my cupboards and left a mark that cannot be wiped off.
This coffee machine is a complete waste of money !!!!!
I would give zero stars if that was an option

Simplicity at its best

To begin, it makes really good coffee. It is easy to operate. It was well designed. The water container detaches and is easy to fill. You can use the filter they provide or a number 4 paper filter (which we prefer). Finally, it is an attractive machine.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great for good consistent drip coffee

Very happy with this machine one week in. It's ideal if you want a really easy, simple user experience and good hot consistent daily coffee.
The removable water reservoir is convenient. It starts brewing almost immediately so I get the impression that the water heating system is very good, and gets the water to the right temperature very quickly. I think the best thing about this machine is the built-in scale - you set how much coffee you're making and how strong you want it, and as you add the grinds it tells you exactly how much to add. Which means you can easily get exactly the cup you want every time.
Otherwise it's pretty straightforward, which is what we wanted in our house. We actually didn't want the fine tuning controls you'd get with the Breville Precision or the Fellow Aiden. We were also also looking at the Ratio 6. But we just wanted a high-quality traditional drip brewer without the bells and whistles we would hardly ever use, that would produce really good consistent coffee easily. That's exactly what this Lotus does.
Fwiw this Lotus machine seems to be identical to the Wolf Gourmet brewer which is highly reviewed and more expensive. In fact it sounds like they're both manufactured by Hamilton Beach and simply marketed under different brands - the only apparent difference is the colour of the knobs.
I would recommend this to a friend!
