Long overdue review...we've had this beautiful stereo for 6 years now and still absolutely love it to this day...just fills the room with great sound yet minimum space.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Good Radio Player but with less quality CD-ROM player!

I like Tivoli as a radio player. But the CD-Player is not as good. I think you should not leave the CD-ROM in player after each play! It could ruin the CD-ROM. Other than that, I think you get what you paid for the sound quality and its classical tabletop design!

Just what I was looking for...but not without significant problems.

Researched lots of other products, but decided on this Tivoli. I play primarily classical music, and wanted a very good sound from a small unit, with CD capability. This fits the bill, and sounds great...and it should considering the price. * 7/31/17 update: Still great sound, but the CD player stopped working. It skips tracks, and then refuses to eject the CD. Disappointing.Update 6/28/19: Still sounds great, but now the clock runs slow. Definitely would not buy again.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The only reason I gave it four stars is because I think it is pretty expensive. If the price was more reasonable, I would have rated it five stars. I was trying to find a radio that would pick up a local station that does not stream and that I could easily hear in my car but never in any location of my house with my old (and cheaper) radio. It was also important that I could play CDs because I own several hundred and do not want to spend time converting them to MP3s. Well, using only the little FM wire antennae that was included, I clearly can pick up my little elusive radio station. If I listen closely I can hear a tiny amount of static but it is only apparent on that station and all the other stations I listen to come in perfectly clear. The sound quality is excellent for a mini-stereo system. I easily paired a Blackberry device as well as Samsung devices to the Tivoli. I found the instructions for setting it up very easy to follow. The two weaknesses are that 1) it is fairly heavy if you plan to move it from room to room and 2) Internet access is not built in. In order to access Pandora or any Internet music site you must have another device that is paired via Bluetooth with it. I would definitely recommend this product and am glad I purchased it.
