This tivoli has been a huge disappointment since day 1

This tivoli has been a huge disappointment since day 1. Sound - mediocre tinny light weight sound. Bluetooth - pairing is a pain and unreliable. Clock - numbers are small and hard to read. The buttons - all the buttons are the same size and feel so turning the radio off means you need a lot of light to read the descriptions. Build quality - The woodwork and look of everything is beautiful and what you would expect from a design driven company. On a side note I have a Tivoli PAL and absolutely love it.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great sound quality, elegant design. The only drawback is its remote, not so intuitive. This could be overlooked for other great experience it brings.

I purchased a very similar system at least 5 or 6 years ago -- mine is the same but unfortunately does not have bluetooth. The sound is really very good. I enjoy listening to the FM radio and Baroque music on it via Pandora running on my desktop computer system (via an AUX jack on the back of the unit) but any music just sounds so full, rich, and crisp. My only complaint, and I think another reviewer mentioned this, is that the button labels are difficult to read and the buttons themselves are not very logically organized. There are not a lot of equalizer options -- you can adjust the treble by pressing the volume knob, adjust the bass with a knob on the back, and you can enable a "wide SP" mode which is like artificial surround sound, and it works very well.Another odd thing on my unit is that the FM receiver adjusts the signal in one-tenth MHz increments, instead of 2-tenths (which is standard in the United States) and there is no "scan" mode to assist you in finding the next frequency with a signal. This makes finding stations (if you don't know the frequency) cumbersome.I gave this 4 stars because the sound is so good, the unit is attractive is very convenient. I have been using this almost daily for years and it still looks and works like new.

Beautifully designed with mediocre sound qual

I purchased two of these recently, one for myself and one for my daughter. As a bit of an audiophile, I had high hopes for these, especially given Tivoli's reputation for outstanding table radios. However, I was fairly let down by the sound and as a result I have very mixed feelings about them. On the one hand, they are beautifully designed and really the best clock radio you can find---easy to set up, easy to use, easy to change, etc. On the other hand, the sound when playing from the radio is only so-so---very muddy and unengaging. When playing from a CD or iPod, the sound is great. My conclusion is that the FM receiver portion of the system is poor quality. That is extremely disappointing, given the price. The bottom line is that if you want a nice clock radio and don't mind paying a high price for it, this is a nice all-in-one system. Just don't expect it to perform like a real audiophile device---it is just an expensive clock radio.

PROS: Very attractive, handsome, compact bit of furniture. Easy to use. Bluetooth syncs to my iPhone. Good packaging (no damage during shipping).CONS: Audio is good, but not great. I mostly listen to news/talk radio, so it suits my needs, but it sounds like a bass-heavy car stereo. The remote is flimsy.I'm very satisfied, but with reservations. This is for people that want an easy-to-use, good looking stereo for every day use. If you're an audio snob, you're going to be disappointed by the sound quality. It really does look fantastic on my bookcase though.

I have been quite happy with the Tivoli Audio Music BT

I have been quite happy with the Tivoli Audio Music BT. This unit is now my main (only) audio component. The Tivoli Audio Music BT is not cheap but well worth the expense.Overall the sound quality is exceptional. Granted you will not get good true stereo separation from speakers 12” apart, but my main room is small and the unit fills the space. I have been please with listening to everything from talk radio, classic rock, and classical music on both the radio and CD (CD fidelity is especially good). The Bluetooth connection works well and is a nice option, but the sound is not as pleasant as that from a CD.
I would recommend this to a friend!
