Very well made. The v1 I am upgrading frof lasted 6 years of 24/7 power, easily transmitting up to 1GB/down 100/upload while gaming or connected to a virtual server
This switch was quick and easy to set up. Easily aggregated ports for Synology and Qnap NAS's. (LACP) Recommended for a small network on a budget requiring higher end managed functionality.
Simple and relatively easy to configure, this switch is great for PoE capable networks: it can go places without power, which makes it possible to pull fewer home run category cables. If you have a protected power injector or PoE switch/router feeding this device, thats one more spot on your surge protector at your desk or a.v. cabinet, and more if you have multiple areas fed from this switch. Very solid device, which could use an LED switch to limit light pollution, and Mac/Linux compatibility for its guided setup and management apps, which would be easier to use than the web access page, or a guided setup on that page.
Planned on using this for link teaming and vlans, but ended up being used as an unmanaged L3 switch. Pretty awesome switch with a laundry list of integrated features.
VLAN - this fulfilled a need to isolate my IoT that communicates over the network to the internet from my other resources and maximized security and protection on my home network. If the companies that have access to my IoT and they login to service them, they will not be able to access my computers or servers.
