Great US made cookware

Love All-Clad but...

I recently purchased the entire set of All-Clad D-3 Tri-Ply SS pots.
1. The are beautiful
2. They are heavy but not too heavy for a female with small hands
3. Disappointed with the small handles on each side as they get extremely hot. I suffered a very bad burn touching them, it is advertised that the handles do not get hot.
Maybe the long handles stay cooler but the little ones do not!
4. Also, disappointed the way the inside bottom of the pot turns rainbow colors when cooking. Been cooking many many years and have never seen this happen before. I followed directions and did not use high heat. This is resulting in extra clean time.
5. Very expensive. Look for a sale.

I have never used a stainless pan before so it has taken a bit of getting used to, but after watching some videos, etc. I feel like I am learning to use this beautiful pan.

Love this pan , cooks evenly , cleans easily , makes cooking more enjoyable , would give it five stars if not for the handle redesign, old style D3 much more comfortable to use , we have the 8" & 10" in old style , we love them all ...
