Pros: of this fry pan are I cooked grilled sandwiches and vegetables to my satisfaction. I have even put water in the pan, placed frozen food in their storage containers, and turned on the burners to medium heat to defrost the contents enough to be able remove from the containers.
Cons: stains seem to stay on the pan despite using Bar Keepers Friend and a non scratching pad.
I love All-Clad stainless steel pans--all types . They cook well and the food always comes out great!. I like that they are made in the USA. They maybe a little more expensive than most BUT they are well worth the price.
When I installed an induction cooktop, many of my AllClad pots and pans (the Ltd Gray line) which I loved and had collected over many years, were not compatible with the technology. I also inherited my mom's pans as I had convertied her to AllClad! Once I came to terms with the fact I would have give away some pots and replace them, I decided on the D3 because of its high rating. The box arrived, the set went into immediate use, and I've been thrilled ever since.
Follow the cleaning instructions with white vinegar, if burned backing soda and maybe bar keepers and the cooking instruction - medium low heat always - only boiling water on high and the pan is perfect.
Looks nice, but very difficult to clean. I wanted to get away from Teflon, but now I’m regretting my decision. I grew up with Farberware in the pre-Teflon era, and I know it was easier to clean than these pots and pans, without damaging the finish. Before cooking with these pans or pots, we grease the them with a recommended lubricant (butter or oil, not Pam). But every time we use these we have soak every pot overnight, and/or put water in the dirty pot and heat that, then gently scrape away the stuck on food particles. It’s ridiculous, I don’t have time to clean a pot multiple times to get it clean. I think it would be easier to clean a Faberge egg.

Very hard to clean after I read you can’t use so many products on it and no steel wool.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
