This is a great watch for marathon runners

This is a great watch for marathon runners. All the features you need; battery life and screen brightness are excellent. Having Garmin Messenger and InReach available on the watch is great since I don't bring my phone on long runs, and my wife can feel connected. I've been using Garmin watches for a very long time - this one is my new favorite.
I really wanted to love this watch. It looks fantastic, and the natural titanium finish is one of the main reasons I chose it. Unfortunately, I'm disappointed with how easily the titanium bezel scratches. For a watch at this price point, especially one designed and marketed for outdoor use, I expected the bezel to hold up better to normal everyday wear.
I've also noticed that the watch can be surprisingly slow to respond at times. This seems particularly noticeable after completing activities, when the interface can feel sluggish or glitchy for a while. There is a lot I like about the watch, including the design, features, and overall functionality, but for the price, I expected better durability and a smoother user experience. At this point, 3 stars feels appropriate.
I do love this watch but was torn between a 5 star vs. 4 star rating (more of a 4.5) due to the excessive calorie count and short distances recorded on my in-door walk/treadmill. I do a 1 mile treadmill/16-17 minute mile walk after my strength training, which my old Garmin Epix Gen 2 generally recorded approximately 1 mile and 100 +/- calories burned (which is also what internet sites show I should be burning). The calorie burn is about the same whether I walk outside or on the Treadmill. My new Fenix 9 Pro consistently records my 1 mile walk as under .7 miles but calories burned as over 160??? I understand from my research that I may need to re-calibrate the watch, which I would not expect to have to do on on this new watch. Hopefully, this will correct the issue, which would then better support my 5 star rating.
Otherwise, I love everything about the watch, especially the brightness/details of the screen. It is also a very good looking watch on my wrist (I bought the 47mm size, the largest model would be overwhelming on my wrist). It is a big improvement over old my Epix Gen 2 watch.
It is worth it if you are upgrading from a Fenix 7

Really nice looking AMOLED display. The battery life is not as good as my previous MIP Fenix 7 which was to be expected. The processor seems faster and the map use is more intuitive. Great product, highly recommend.
Had 9 for 10+ days. Days 1 and 2 had major battery drain. I went of interweb and found comments about Inreach and GPS sensors causing drain. Said to reset and make sure certain sensors were off. All went well for 6 days then woke to a 50% drain. Just returned watch and charged my very reliable 7 sapphire solar. 9 Not ready for primetime
My first Garmin watch, and its a game changer. Went from a Samsung Galaxy to Fenix 9 Pro Inreach. I had it for 4 weeks and absolutely love everything about it.
