I was looking for a basic pressure washer to clean vehicles and some relatively light outdoor cleaning, such as a patio, porch/walkway and other random things that may need cleaning.
I did NOT want another gas powered outdoor tool to have to maintain when not in use, and I wanted something that would be compact enough to store on a shelf in the garage, yet large enough to do a better job than a garden hose adapter. I settled on this model due to its size and rated capabilities...somewhere in the middle of the spectrum of power and size.
The packaging was adequate, and I was VERY pleased to see that it wasn't jam-packed with styrofoam blocks, instead using cardboard spacers that are much easier to recycle. The assembly was pretty straightforward, requiring only a P3 screwdriver. and I believe 6 screws.
For my test, I used the tool to clean the underside of my push lawnmower that hasn't been cleaned in a few years. I found that an initial soaking of the underside of the deck with the soap nozzle, followed by the 0-degree nozzle to slice through the caked-on grass, and then the 15-degree nozzle worked best and the stuff just fell off in large clumps. It worked much better than a garden hose and a small scraper to get into all the little contoured areas of the deck.
As a quick test on the patio, I used the 15-degree nozzle to see if it would make any difference on the 55 year old concrete pad that may never have been cleaned in its life. Considering it sits under a large maple tree, I was surprised at how well it worked for the small test areas. I've never used a pressure washer on concrete before, so the streaking is entirely from me playing around with distance, speed and angles to see what might work best, not an indication of the tool's performance.
For my needs, this product works well. It was reasonably priced, has the features I wanted and performance were within my expectations. Keep in mind that it's not a full commercial pressure washer that'll blast holes in concrete or strip the chrome off a trailer hitch and it'll be just fine.
