My previous chipper/shredder was from Habor Freight. This Westinghouse model is noticeably higher quality both design & size. I’m looking forward to its troublefree operation.

Good not great

I used this shredder for the first time yesterday; it performed great on branches. I was disappointed in the way it shredded cardboard the machine would feed some through fine but the end of piece word does not go through without constantly tamping it down then it would spit out a unshredded piece. Overall, I think it was a good purchase.

This chipper fills the bill

I have a lot of shrubs, bushes, and trees in my little yard. It's difficult to deal with the different types of branches and sticks. This chipper makes it a snap to shred all that wood to a small volume so it can go in a lawn bag for disposal instead of being tied and bundled to the city's specifications. It's a good size for my needs, it's fast, and just makes my life easier.

Works Well

It works just fine on branches up to 1.5". Not very good with leaves but I did not buy it for leaves. Used it twice and so far so good. Now blowback from bag is a nuisance. Only time will tell how the plastic holds up and I will not use it if temperature is under 50 F.
