It will straighten small sections of hair. But it takes a long time to use such a small tool for my shoulder length hair. And it's too amall to do much of anything else. No waves or curls. I'd rather pack a full size straightener for a weekend get away and get the job done. Really disapointed.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
