Just purchased and seems to do a good job. The item numbers on the warranty don't seem to match up exactly with what I have- 81214610

Not made like the older ones, but gets the job done. Also needs a handle to carry up stairs.

Kenmore bc3002

I had a Kenmore canister vacuum before, absolutely loved it. It broke. I tried 2 other small, not very good, vacuums prior to repurchasing a new one.

Great but for 1 thing

I didn't realize that the power switch was not on the handle, like my old model, but rather is on the cannister. So if something is grabbed by the wand you can't immediately turn it off. I like the lightweight and small size.

I love the lightweight feature. I also love how much suction this vacuum has. I recommend it to everyone who asks what kind of vacuum they should buy.

Burned contacts on the wand-to-hose assembly
on July 15, 2025

In just six months, this BC3005 vacuum failed catastrophically, destroying one of the contacts that connect the wand to the hose assembly—the vital part you hold in your hand with the second motor's on/off switch. Its poor design or quality led to a frustrating and unreliable experience. A very poor engineering decision to begin with, I say that as a fellow electrical engineer.
