Comparing the new and the old.

It worked well at my first use, too soon to know how sturdy it is. It seems lighter than my previous kenmore, but I don't know if that is because of a slightly different design for attachment storage, or because the plastic case is cheaper and thinner. I hope it is as durable as the old one, which was 30 years old when the beater head died, though the vacuum itself still works fine.

Kenmore "lite"

Very much like my last Kenmore canister vacuum, with much more plastic connections. But I expect the usual Kenmore quality none the less. Just replace the bag and filters as needed and it should last a while. Our last one lasted 22 years.

For last 7-8 years I bought 9 or 10 basically same vacuum cleaners. Used them every day.
Life span from 6 months to the year. If you going to use it ones or twice a week, chances are, it will work for long periods of time.
