Great suction, cleans hardwood floors and carpet, trusted brand name. I’ve only used Kenmore appliances and sweepers. Yes, I would recommend to a friend.

Quality is declining

I have always bought Kenmore canister vacuum cleaners and although each one has lasted at least 10 years, every time I get a new one, it's flimsier than the one before. At least the attachments are interchangeable and I've kept some of the older ones, which are sturdier.

Best vacuum ever!!

I got my new Kenmore 400 series canister vacuum today and it’s better than any vacuum I’ve ever used! I was frustrated with my last vacuum because it was not picking up cat hair and was leaving lots of dust and debris behind. My new Kenmore vacuumed cleared all cat hair, cat litter, dirt, and debris! I love that I can use it on our carpet, hardwood kitchen floor, and linoleum bathroom floors! I’m incredibly thrilled with my purchase and will be recommending this vacuum to my friends and family!

I grew up with my mom using this vacuum. I have just bought my 4th. I gifted all the others to my children and finally got one for me to keep ?. Will never have another kind of vacuum!
