Works well enough - but the price more than doubled in less than a year. No excuse for that.

Filter cost and change frequency
on January 25, 2026

Filter price is with frequency of changing isn’t going to work. Will look into returning the machine. When setting up the machine our water tested at the best level for little to no contaminants. (It comes out of our home water treatment system and is what we drink) Prior super automatic machine we owned for 12 years (different vendor) didn’t require this change frequency and the cost per filter was less than half. If it is an issue with the machine sensitivity, I’d think descaling once a month would work, no?

Great coffee machine, expensive filter
on December 16, 2025

Why would this filter cost so much? I agree going thru as much water as it does, needs to be cheaper or they need to supply you with a years worth to start to offset costs. The machine is great and easy to use.

Poor design of removal/replacement tool.

I agree with everyone else, very expensive for it's short life.
But the tool designed to remove the filter is a shockingly poor design. The part that the filter holds a tighter grip on the filter than it does to the spoon handle that is used to extract it. It's hard to explain, but if the filter is tightly screwed into place, turning the removal tool just results in pulling the handle off. The filter, and the little gripper that is supposed to hold it, remain firmly in place, separated from the spoon handle. The entire extraction tool should be one piece, or at least it's 2 components should be firmly attached to each other.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Yes, it is expensive as it is unnecessary

My well water contains no chlorine, but we filter our refrigerator’s water, under-the-sink in the kitchen, and use a zero containment filter into a two-gallon glass container. Our twice filtered water is what is used in the KF6. Only change the KF6’s filter every nine months.

This is an absolutely unacceptable price for a filter and you know it! It doesn’t last 45 days in my house.
