Constant change in dimensions means replacing both units & cabinet re-work. High cost to maintain.

We bought these units back in 2007, we were doing kitchen reno and had these built in. In 2018, the fridge packed up, freezer was still working but we had to replace both units as they were now taller by a significant amount, we had to modify the trim to fit the units back into their spot. In 2023, the fridge was constantly working and not reaching the temperature the repairman was able to do something temporary until we could find a part (this took 9 months), In 2024 the fridge was making loud noises, the repairman replaced the condenser fan motor (which had taken this long to find). Now in 2025 the fridge is no longer cooling at all. We now find that the units have not only increased in height but are now each 7/8" wider which would mean major cabinet work to fit them in, really?????? This is so frustrating!!!

House is less than 5 years old and constantly running an E7 alarm which seems to be common issue they’ve not fixed based on online research

Hi Jd22! Thank you for reaching out. We understand how frustrating it can be to have the E7 alarm continuously running, especially in a home less than five years old. This error is known to occur occasionally, and basic troubleshooting steps you can try include power cycling the system, checking that vents, filters, and sensors are clean and unobstructed, and using the reset option if available. If the issue persists, it may require further attention. If you need any assistance or have any questions, feel free to contact us via live chat by visiting our website at Frigidaire.ca or call us at 1 (800) 265-8352, Monday–Friday, 8:30 a.m.–8 p.m. EST. - Reed

Build quality and function does not match the looks unfortunately. We had the previous fridge/freezer single door combo installed in 2019, but the refrigerator stopped working after barely 5 years and could no longer be repaired. Since the new models came in 2020 I believe, we had to replace both the freezer and refrigerator because the dimensions had changed just slightly. This also means that our previous built-in cabinetry is no longer a perfect match since the width in particular changed enough such that the trim kits are too wide for our space, but we still needed to buy the full kit in order to attach the units. We are still determining the best way to finish the space, but will likely need to have another custom panel built to cover the top if we want to keep the built-in look.
To make matter worse, both the freezer and fridge have warranty claims from the day they were installed. The freezer door handle bolts were not installed correctly so the handle cannot be attached, and we need a new door. The fridge door is fine, but some of the glass shelves inside were missing so we will need them to send new glass as well. I appreciate that sometimes things go wrong, but to have something go wrong with everything we have bought from the Frigidaire Professional line (we have a full set) is worrisome.
The icing on the cake was the old single-door freezer that we were also replacing. As it was still working, we were using it in our garage while getting the new units installed but the top bolts on the door hinge sheared out when opening and the door fell off. Thankfully it was not my spouse or son who was opening it or it could have been a lot worse, but I was able to catch it before it knocked me over.
As nice as the whole line looks, I find it very difficult to recommend to anyone give the lack of build quality and durability across the entire Professional line.

Thank you for taking the time to share your detailed experience. We sincerely apologize for the ongoing issues you’ve encountered with your 19 Cu. Ft. single-door refrigerator and other Frigidaire Professional appliances. We understand how frustrating it must be to face multiple complications—both with product quality and installation compatibility—especially after investing in a full suite of appliances.
Your concerns about the updated dimensions, trim kit fitting, and the need for custom cabinetry adjustments are completely valid. We also take seriously the problems you've had with missing parts and warranty claims, as well as the safety concern involving the door hinge on your previous freezer. We're very relieved no one was injured and truly regret that this situation occurred.
This is not the experience we aim to deliver, and we appreciate your patience. Your feedback will be shared with our product and quality teams to help improve both build standards and support processes.
We highly recommend reaching out to the installer company for further assistance about the issue that occurred after the installation. If this tip did not work, please don't hesitate to connect with us via Live Chat at www.frigidaire.ca or call us at 1-800-265-8352, Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m.–8 p.m. ET, and we’ll be happy to assist.

Hi there. We’re very sorry to hear about the repeated issues you've experienced with your refrigerator — especially so soon after purchase, and on a model from our Professional Series, which should reflect the highest standards of performance and reliability.
Having to deal with a high temperature warning, service delays, and a repeat failure just weeks later is unacceptable, and we fully understand your frustration. This is not the level of quality or support you should expect from a Frigidaire appliance, and we sincerely apologize.
We would like to escalate your case for a deeper review and faster resolution. Please contact us directly via live chat online at https://www.frigidaire.ca or via phone at (800) 265-8352, Mon-Fri, 8:30 a.m.–8:00 p.m. EST. Best Regards, Ruth
We bought the pro series 8 years ago. Our warranty expired 4 years ago. Our refrigerator stopped cooling and it has been impossible to get any assistance. We had a local repairman come in and take a look and is uncertain that it can be fixed. The new pro series is larger for some reason, and incompatible with the previous model, as a result we will have to buy a refrigerator and a freezer - the freezer still works perfectly. The pro series is meant to be built in and I cannot understand why they would make the new version larger, because it means we have to take our custom cabinets apart and rebuilt the entire built in around it. It is so sad that a company like this does not care about or want to help their clients when issues occur.
