Purchased about a month ago. Right out of box realized it was flimsy. Only toasted one side of bread. This morning, handle wouldn't stay down. Absolutely ridiculous for a new toaster of a month. Don’t waste your money on this!!!

If your toaster is only browning one side and the lever is not staying down, you may try a few quick troubleshooting tips that sometimes help resolve the issue:
• Make sure the toaster is plugged directly into a wall outlet, as extension cords can sometimes affect performance.
• Check that the crumb tray is fully inserted and empty, since crumbs can occasionally interfere with the internal mechanism.
• Try lowering the browning control to a mid-range setting and press the lever down firmly to ensure it engages properly.
• Ensure the bread slices are centered in the slots, as uneven placement can sometimes cause uneven toasting.

I purchased this 2-slice toaster about 3 months ago and I am already looking at different brands to replace this one. It toasts one side of the bread much better than the other. One side will be toasted, and the other side is nowhere being toasted the same as the other side. One side is done and the other side is not. I have tried both sides of the toaster and turns out the same way each time. One side almost burnt the other side nowhere being done. And it is set between 1 1/4 -1 1/2. Why won't it toast both sides the same?

poor quality after acquisition by Newell foods

Hi. My Oster toaster quit after less than a year. The brackets inside that hold the toast detached or broke. We were always very careful with it. When I went to repair it I found that the screws they use (tri-wing screws or some such) are definitely non-standard. Thus, I could to the hardware store and buy a tool I'lll rarely use again and, if other parts of the toaster don't break, see if I can nurse it into its second year. But I'm not going to do that, of course. I wonder if Newell Company, who recently bought out Oster, has any concerns about the reputation of the brand they acquired. I would be thrilled to see them come through for me.

Took some time to get used to

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received complementary from Influenster and Oster the two slice stainless steel toaster to try then give my honest opinion of. First, I will say I was super excited to be receiving this. It came at the perfect time. It has a setting for toasting frozen items, bagels, you can cancel the toasting, it did take me a while to get used to the settings as it does toast extremely well. Most of the time I don’t even need to have it above 2 even though it goes to 7. Which is higher than my previous one went to. Plus, it is so pretty it wipes down and shines beautifully. I love the stainless steel.

It is lightweight, has extra wide slots to hold a variety if breads/bagels, & gives you a 7-shade selector so that you can choose just how dark you like it! It has a removable crumb tray, & automatic shut off for those of us who might be slightly forgetful!

Lightweight and compact toaster with light up butt

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’m really excited about my new Oster toaster! I was due to get one a while ago. First, I really like its design - so modern and sleek. The toaster has 5 heat settings. I prefer my toast to be toasted at 2 or 3, they turn out just crispy enough while soft on the inside. There is also a setting for bagels and frozen bread. The lights make it look modern and slick.
It is easy to clean and it operates pretty quietly. I also appreciate that it is a pretty compact toaster, since I have a limited space on my kitchen.
