On the whole, the laptop probably is a good computer. It's the mouse that's the problem. I use an old fashion mouse because I've never been able to figure out the mouse pad. On my previous HP laptop there was an option to turn off the pad if there was a regular mouse in use. Now, I can't do that. Actually, I have two mice and neither one is under my control 100% of the time. I'm typing away on Word, and something gets highlighted reformatted or deleted. Good thing Control Z still works.

As expected, this is a very nice laptop. Excellent screen and video camera. Quick boot-up, both cold and warm.
But the forced requirement to have a Microsoft account in order to run Windows is ridiculous, and possibly illegal. There are known work-arounds for this, but HP should have an option to run without an MS account.

Overall, this is a great computer! Fast as all get-out! The only reason this received 4 stars instead of 5 stars is the built-in function of saving everything to OneDrive instead of on the computer's hard drive. I had already transferred a ton of files before I discovered this fact. I had to turn off OneDrive, which was a pain for someone not familiar with it. Think this might be a Windows thing instead of an HP thing. Other than that one fact, I LOVE the new computer!
