Very good computer / laptop it is fast however I wish I would have got more RAM however I can buy more RAM and install myself but it is fast it's good no complaints so far only had it one month I wonder if HP can send me for free another 8 GB of RAM so I can install

I was looking for a customizable, low to medium priced laptop with good reviews. The HP 17t-cn300 is a decent example and is exactly what I needed and expected.
I got the plain black plastic which is not pretty but you can upgrade the cover and color for additional cost. It comes with decent RAM and SSD storage, I opted to upgrade both for minimal cost, am happy with both. I like the Intel Core i5 as a medium priced option and good performance. It is a lightweight laptop but that is achieved by eliminating optical drives and limiting the number of ports. Apparently that is industry standard now as I checked out other product lines also. None come with ethernet port or an abundance of USB, etc. Be aware that you will need to purchase an adapter if you need more port space, available on a number of retail sites offering a range of prices & configurations. Software is standard, I opted to purchase MS Office 24 rather than Office 365, don't need all the extra MS frills or expense. My only complaint is what seems to me to be low duration battery charge but there is a relatively low charge time.
Overall, I am happy with the purchase at the sale price. A nice, no frills unit from a reliable manufacturer.

New HP computer backup programs and files that I didn't know that were there from cloud account attached to msn hotmail. Incorporating new software and programs from old HP to new HP with saved passwords made transition seamless. Video quality is good. Upload timer regardless of size is slow compared to old HP. File transfer almost twice as fast scanning.
