[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The range hood is designed for a top air outlet, though it can be converted to a rear/vertical air outlet. Removing the plastic wind guide inside is a big challenge. Unlike the stainless steel cover, it is not designed for removal. Moreover, the manual does not give good instructions on how to do it. Otherwise, the hood itself works well now.

Gesture control is surprisingly convenient—no fingerprints on the panel. The 9‑speed inverter motor gives smooth control, and the 304 stainless steel build feels solid and premium. The baffle filters pop out easily and clean well in the dishwasher. Noise is reasonable for the power. Overall, a strong, smart, and well‑built under‑cabinet hood.

The main factor we selected U3 Model over the U2 was the filters. On the website they say they are both baffle filters, but the U2 is actually mesh, while U3 is baffle.

The difference when I sear steaks is night and day — the smoke alarm used to go off every Sunday and now it doesn't. The wave-on thing felt gimmicky at first but I use it constantly with greasy hands. Runs loud on the top speed, but that's the trade-off for the airflow and I'm fine with it.
