I was so pleased to finally get a KitchenAid mixer BUT it turned out not to be exactly what I wanted and needed. I wanted the one that you raise the head. I find this very hard to use SO I don’t use at all.

Upgrade Not really

I thought I was upgrading to the 6-quart bowl-lift stand mixer. I'd had my original 4.5 quart for 20+ years and I should have just kept it. The 6-quart can't handle things like bread or big batches of cookies. The first time I made bread, the pin got jammed and now it keeps happening. I'm totally disappointed in this appliance. Kitchen Aid dropped the ball on this one.

So Quiet! Enjoying Prep Again!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this a month ago to replace my old commercial mixer. This mixer is just okay. The dough hook doesn't pick up dough from the bottom of the bowl which makes it impossible to use to knead, very frustrating. I have tried adjusting the height screw, but it will not adjust any further. I make bread, this is why I bought this mixer, it now just sits on the counter now. Also, the spatula paddle does not hit the bowl edge to actually scale while mixing.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Such an Upgrade!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So Fricken Nice! Updated a 20+ year old 5 qt lift mixer with this unit. Much more power and capacity. The pasta roller attachment runs so much smoother on this unit without the moans and groans of the old unit. Was going to wait for the 7 quart to go on sale but sprung on this unit due to the clearance price. No Regrets!
