The gradual engagement of the beater and the pouring shield keep messes to a minimum. I have named her Bella and I think my wife may be a little jealous ;)

New six quart mixer

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have owned a six quart kitchenaid mixer for over 30 years and my latest purchase was my third replacement. The mixer continues to be lighter and all the paddles are lighter and smaller than my previous purchase. I have had to replace the gears twice and the last time was after only two months of light use. The last repair person told me to avoid speeds greater than 2 or 3 and to not use the mixer for bread dough as the gears are NOT strong enough! Hum..not good. We'll see about this mixer. It will be my last purchase if problems continue.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Now that I'm retired I have special plans for this baby, I'm going to be experimenting with sourdough bread making. Been waiting a long time for this!! Thank you so much for making such an outstanding product, I'm a lifer for KitchenAid products.👍😊
