I’ve shaved with various Panasonic models for years, and this Arc5 is the best so far. I really like the new head design that pivots in every imaginable direction. I also appreciate that there’s finally a clear head protective cover that snaps into place, after many that barely stayed on. Personally, I’d rather have a digital battery level rather than a series of LEDs, but that’s pretty minor against all the positives.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great razor,wish replacement blade were affordable

Great razor, close shave. The only negative is that the blades dull in about 14-16 months and the non replaceable battery in about 2 years. Replacement blades are about 2/3 the price of a new razor so not really an option when soon after replacing them the battery will go.

So far I'm not convinced I like it. It seems to take just as long as regular shaving (I was hoping it would be faster) and doesn't shave as close. It keeps missing hairs and I have to go over the same spot to get them and then my skin gets irritated.

I just started taking blood-thinners. That is why I decided to try this wet/dry electric shaver since shaving with a bladed razor would leave me a bloody mess. I use this with shaving cream. It took a few shaves to get the the hang of it, but now I can get a shave nearly as close as a bladed safety razor and the best part is no knicks or bleeding! . The cleaning function is nice too, allowing for a good rinsing/cleaning between shaves.

Purchased the Panasonic Arc 3. Shaver intending to replace my 15-year-old Philips Norelco. The Norelco just shaves better in every way. The old Norelco gets way closer to the skin without irritate my skin like the Arc does which is crazy since that's supposed to be foil shaver's "thing."
The arkshaves just fine. It's just very disappointing after how much I read about it and the fact that my old shaver just does better.
