I don’t know how you count blades, but mine doesn’t appear to have but two.

Thank you for sharing your 4-star review with us! We're glad to hear that you had a positive experience overall. Please note that the 5-blade description refers to the outer foil which features 5 blades, allowing the shaver to cut in 5 places using the inside blades.
I was on the fence about what shaver would suit me best so I tried the two top brands, Panasonic and Braun. I was very surprised and pleased with how much I preferred the Panasonic. Both shavers were effective at removing my beard and leaving a smooth face but Panasonic was tremendously more comfortable. It glided over my skin and never felt like it might pinch or irritate those places around my chin where the angles are sharp. It was just plain smooth everywhere. The comfort difference was striking, making for a faster shave as I didn’t have to go slowly and carefully in certain places.
Before my purchase I was also concerned about how the blades worked as when the blade anssembly is removed from the top of the shaver it looks like there are only two. But I now know that there are three additional blades that are built into the removable head resulting in what amounts to five vibrating cutting plates, two that remain on the shaver body, two that are captive to and built into the head for normal close surface shaving, and one in the middle that is designed to deal with longer facial hairs.
If I were asked if there is anything I don’t like it’s the charging system. It requires a special plug to mate with the shaver for charging, meaning I have to keep a special cable around for periodic charging. It would be so much more convenient if Panasonic would just convert their shaver to allow charging with a conventional USB-C connector, given they are ubiquitous. It also seems that the battery doesn’t seem to last as long on my Panasonic as it has on other similar shavers. This isn’t a big problem, but if the special charging cable were replaced by the ability to use one of my many other charges this annoyance would vanish.
I’ve owned and used my Panasonic for several weeks now and it has made me a true believer. As they say, “Try it. You’ll like it!”

We are happy to hear you had a positive experience with the product! We value your input and encourage you to let us know more details about your experience with us.
My Arc5 replaced an Arc 3 I had that was on its way out. I wasn't sure about the 5 blade design and wondered if the additional blades would irritate my skin. I couldn't have been more wrong. I dry shave and it cuts close but comfortably. It works faster and runs quieter too. Clean up is simple, needing just some hand soap, warm water and the ultrasonic speed setting. It's a really nice, well built, high quality shaver. You won't be disappointed.

Thank you for the wonderful review and for taking the time to share your feedback with us. Our priority is customer service and we are ecstatic that we met that mark!
About the same as my old Panasonic. The battery does not last as long as claimed and the shave isn't much smoother. Don't see much thats "advanced"

We appreciate your feedback! Achieving a closer shave with an electric shaver can sometimes be different from a manual razor. Here are a few tips to help you get a closer shave. Make sure your skin is clean and dry before shaving. You can also try shaving after a warm shower to soften the hair follicles. For a closer shave, try shaving against the direction of hair growth. Be gentle and avoid pressing too hard to prevent irritation. While shaving, use your free hand to stretch the skin in the area you're shaving. This can help the shaver get closer to the hair. Remember, electric shavers may take some time to get used to, but with the right technique, you can achieve a closer shave. If you have any more questions or need further assistance, please don't hesitate to reach out. Thank you for your feedback!
