[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have owned a 5 quart kitchen aid mixer for over 35 years and the new ones doesn't compare . I still use my old one for brioche and bread because the tulips bowl is more adequate for the elasticity of the dough . I don’t understand why kitchen aid stops making this model .

Best birthday gift ever!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My son has been telling me I needed a new mixer forever. He finally asked if I wanted a KitchenAid. I didn't want him to spend that kind of money on me. He's just 21 and getting started in his career. However, he finally just did it and I had no idea how badly I needed a new stand mixer! First time we used it to make our favorite red cake my son hand washed the paddle and bowl then wiped down the machine. Clearly he plans to use it too. For the first time in years we are planning on making piles of Christmas cookies.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Upgrade to newer model

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It was time for an upgrade. I have been useing my Mother's KitchenAid that my parents recieved as a Wedding gift in 1961. It still works great but i wanted my own.
