This is my 2nd cordless Panasonic iron. I’m a quilter and absolutely LOVE not having a cord! The first iron lasted 6 or 7 years with zero problems. When it died I didn’t think twice about what I wanted to buy as the replacement. This new one is even better. It’s 1700w instead of 1500. And it stays on 120 minutes before turning off instead of 10 minutes. I love it!
I would recommend this to a friend!

I really love this iron. I am a quilter and love that it stays hot for a longer time than previously. Also, that it will automatically shut off after a length of time. Also, love the extra heat and the extra hot steam. Makes quilting an even greater joy for me! It arrived quickly also and that was a plus as I needed it in a hurry. Thanks, Panasonic!

I wanted a cordless iron and this one had good reviews. I was a little worried about whether or not it would get hot enough and whether or not it would stay hot long enough to not be aggravating. I was pleased to find out in both cases that it got hot enough and stayed hot long enough for me to work with my quilting. Occasionally, when I had it off the charger for longer than usual, it only took about five seconds to get back up temp when I put it back on the base (and this is when I had it on the hottest setting. Having only three settings (low, medium, hot) is not a problem at all. I have not used the steamer …. I prefer to use a spray bottle of water… but it appears really easy to fill and I think likely works well. It has taken some time to get used to not being about to set it upright between ironing and I would love to see one that is made to allow that (for when doing small adjustments to the thing I am ironing) but I’m getting used to putting it in the cradle. I am left handed, so the retracting cord coming out of the side it comes out of is a little trouble for the way I am using it. I just used a 3M Command clip that I attached to the other side of the base and hold the cord there before it goes into the outlet, and that works fine. I’ll need to remove it if I decide to use the carrying lid. If you are not left-handed, that last part may not make sense! The 120 minute cut off is great (I tested it once and it worked perfectly) and the off/on buttons give me confidence that it is really off when I turn it off. I highly recommend this for quilting. If you iron a lot of clothes for a long period of time at once, it may get too cool for you after being off the base for awhile, but it is great for my needs.

I bought this about a month ago. I like that it stays on for 2 hours. However, the water tank is a little wobbly and I am finding that it is leaking water from the top hole in the water tank fill cap. Also, when I use the steam button brown residue is comes out and lands on my fabric. I notice this the most everyday when I first use the steam and it takes a few pumps before it stops.

For the wobbling and leakage from the water tank, please ensure the cap is securely fastened. If the issue continues, we recommend seeking professional assistance from one of our authorized service centers. Regarding the brown residue, it may be due to mineral build-up. We recommend regular descaling to prevent this.
