Bought this portafilter because I wanted to upgrade from the one that came with another machine and I can say it is very well designed. My only issue is that I don't know the dosage for each basket so dialing in the dose has been tricky. It's a little awkward to place on a scale to measure the coffee grounds too. Besides that the baskets are very well-gripped and the espresso puck comes right out when knocking.

bought this with the casabrews 4700gense because bottomless portafilter is a must in home brew. very happy with the design and compatibility with machine, as well as price. handle has a lovely smooth feel. holds a perfect 18g with screen.. more than that and you can’t use the accompanying screen, but 18g at the right grind and tamp pressure makes for a great double shot. only thing i don’t love is the tapered angle of the baskets. curious why they chose angled over straight sides. still very happy!

58 mm bottomless portable filter

Overall happy with the product. Good build quality and performance. I like that the space between the port filter and handle is a little longer over the standard stock one and the wood of the handle is of nice quality

I use this bottomless portafilter for my 5700 gense and it’s a game changer! I love the wood handle and how high quality it feels. This bottomless portafilter allows me to pull an amazing shot!
