JBL always delivers with quality sound and this is no exception. The Flip4 combines great sound with durability and Bluetooth technology. I’ve had no problems since purchasing it one month ago. It’s a great investment if you want to enjoy good sound everywhere you go!

Two unwanted features spoil this product for me

I loved this speaker upon purchasing it. Unfortunately, a week after buying, I discovered two features that make it unusable for my purposes. 1) auto shut off. Device shuts off after ten minutes when it's not playing music. Fine for most purposes probably, but for me, using it in a class, It's a big problem. Why? Because when the device turns on, it makes a loud, annoying start up sound that totally disrupts the vibe of the children's class I'm using it for! I have everyone all settled down from a lullaby, and then I start the JBL and it breaks the whole vibe. If it weren't for auto shut off, I could get around the loud sound, since I could just start it at the beginning of class before people come in, and then leave it on the whole time. But auto shut off makes this impossible. I'm so bummed that even despite all the research I did before purchasing, I never saw the start up noise listed as a feature. I would never have purchased if I had known.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Bluetooth great, Line in cut off audio

I have this for 3 months. As bluetooth speaker is a great piece of hardware, but also i often use it as line in speaker and Flip 4 cut off audio if sound is too quiet, like on this video

I purchased the Flip 4 less than a month ago. I purchased it mainly for a replacement speaker for when I' cycling because I don't like to wear headphones. I also use it when I'm working out in the garage, on runs and hikes. The clarity on it is awesome. For it to be a small speaker the bass on it is pretty good. The speaker will last for some time if you don't have it too loud. While cycling I had it to close to it's max because I was on loud and busy streets. The battery lasted for about 3 hours. I was pretty disappointed, but considering how loud and clear it was through the traffic, bike lanes along the river and in wide open areas I'm glad I purchased it.
