not so waterproof

I got this a year ago before covid. I had intentions to take this to the beach with me. We used it in the house until last weekend. We took it to a cabin with us and it fell in the hot tub for maybe 2 seconds before I was able to get it out. The Cover for the charger port was on...music kept playing. 2 days later I get it home and charge it. It won't stop turning off and on without me pressing any buttons. It will link via bluetooth still, but only for a few seconds before it turns off and the on/off noise cycles around again until the battery is dead. Ive tried resetting the devise, and all I get are noises of it trying to link via blutooth before it turns off again..then back on...off...on...really wonderful to have happen in the middle of the night.
Our cheaper old waterproof speaker still works after years of being stuck to the shower wall/getting wet.

No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Was looking for a "little" Bluetooth speaker to keep me company in the kitchen - this JBL Flip 4 is exactly what I've been looking for: small, but powerful with excellent sound quality (high and low range)!
