Received this as a gift and worked really well for the first couple months and then stopped working. Even though it is supposed to be water proof I never got it wet or really brought it anywhere just used it in my house. Now it only works if it is plugged in and the volume is below half, if not it makes a horrible cracking noise and shuts off.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Bought this for family member they loved it and since i have a charge 4 we can paired together! They absolutely loved it they take it anywhere

Best portable speaker I’ve ever used & I’m picky. The sound quality is fire! it’s an extremely loud speaker that would be great for a small party or a group of friends, or just one person! Mine is dirty but wow I love this thing so much. thank you jbl for making such amazing quality speakers for a great price! I’ve had mine for almost a year and it is still the same great quality as the day i got it.
I would recommend this to a friend!

The speaker sounds great, but it seems to die after only a handful of hours. The 12 hours it claims seems like a stretch in my opinion.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The JBL flip 4bis a great product. I love the sound it gets so loud, and being able to connect them together is great. The reason it's recieving 4 stars is because it promises 12 hours of play, but it usually dies after 6 to 8.

Great speaker great value!

I have had this speaker for a few years now, and it still works and sounds as good as day one. The bass could be a little more in bigger open rooms, but aside from that everything else is amazing about it. JBL has really become a competitor of what are considered the top of the line products such as Bose and Klipsch! But a lot lower price. I use to be Bose exclusive, but I own so many JBL products and will continue to use there products now.

My house burned down but my speaker still works!!

I recieved this as a gift a few months back, and it is by FAR the best bluetooth speaker ive used. Well fast forward to the end of october, my house sadly burned down and was deemed unlivable. We were sifting through the rubble and i literally watched my sister toss this thing from the second story window into the bulldozer with a loud THUD. My heart sank. i was so upset. well my mother contacts me last night to tell me that as per usual she cant stand to throw anything out and she decided to charge my speaker and see if i could still use it. I laughed. things much farther into the house had to be thrown out and this speaker was right by the start point of the fire. Well i head over to my moms house and about fell over when i connected my phone and my favorite reggae song started blaring through my flip 4. not only is it actually very waterproof, its fire proof, and you can drop it from second story windows. thanks for making a quality product JBL! Much love.
