We appreciate the feedback you've provided to us. We understand that our JBL Flip 4 did not meet your expectations. We're always looking for ways to improve so we'll make sure to submit your feedback to the right department.
I have bought several portable bluetooth speakers and I'm always looking for the perfect balance between bass, mids, treble, and overall sense of space... along with battery life, ease of connectivity, portability, etc. Well, you get it, I want the sun, moon, and stars. The Flip 4 isn't it, but it comes pretty close to checking all the boxes in my book for something in its size and power class. The outstanding quality for me is the clarity of sound, especially in the treble. Most speakers seem to equate bass with power output and they all rumble and do their chest-pounding that way. The Flip 4 does a little of that too, but the cymbals and high notes really shine compared to other ones I own. Build quality is icing on the cake. Connecting to my mobile phone was easy and straight forward too. Keep up the great work, JBL!
I've had mine a little over a year and now when fully charged the battery last and hour or two at best.

There are factors we need to consider with the battery life of our speakers. Our products have lithium-ion batteries that have charging cycles. These cycles will get consumed when you charge your unit and completely discharge it. This explains why speakers can last for six to eight hours when you first bought it. Two years later, it may only last two to three hours. This is normal. What isn't, is when a 12-month-old battery only lasts 15 minutes. Temperature also affects the battery life. Our products only come with a one-year limited warranty. Please reach out to our Customer Support, and we'll help you with your options. https://www.jbl.com/support-contact.html
My JBL Flip 4 had a cup of water spill on it and now it’s acting crazy. It turns off and on constantly and puts itself in discovery mode. The back rubber seal that covers the charging port was sealed correctly, but water still must have gotten inside.

Within a year of having the speaker a button fell off and it stopped taking a charge. Something on the inside is broken and you can hear it moving around. I’ve had the speaker for 2 years now and it no longer works. I’ve taken good care of it so there is no excuse for such an expensive problem to not last.

This isn't the experience we wanted our customers' to have with our products. We don't offer repairs and servicing for our portable speakers since it isn't cost-efficient and may cost more than buying a new speaker. You may reach out to our Customer Support so we could check your options. We're here to help. https://support.jbl.com/us/en/
