Excellent sound

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have enjoyed this product since I removed it from the box! The sound is clear and can get as loud as I need it to be (which happens to be very loud). However, if you are all about the deep bass that rattles and makes it hard to understand the song, a portable speaker isn't what you are looking to purchase. I turn it on and can hear it from any room on the first level of my home. My husband and I used it to play music during our FB baby announcement and the sound was great! It looks awesome and the actual color of the speaker is vibrant so if you order a specific color be ready to get what you expect! This speaker is just what my family needed.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great sound!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Received right before trip to Miami. So made sure to pack and I am glad I did. Was perfect to have at the beach or poolside. The sound quality is great. No problems with range. Was able to keep phone in a safe place and still enjoy my music. And it's loud enough to hear on a crowded beach. Love it!

Once Again Another Great JBL Speaker

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] JBL seems to never fail to bring good quality speakers to the market. The JBL Flip 4 is hands down the best portable waterproof speaker money can buy right now. After receiving this product, I immediately compared it to the Charge 3 and the Flip 3. Compared to my beloved Charge 3, the sound quality is good, but lacking in bass and the lows. The Flip 4 can get just as loud as the Charge 3, but it just doesn't sound as good without the nice bass and low sounds the Charge 3 can produce. I did not expect the Flip 4 to sound better than the Charge 3 because it is a smaller speaker, but the Flip 4 is still an exceptional speaker. Compared to the Flip 3, The Flip 4 surpasses the Flip 3 in sound quality, build quality, and functionality. The Flip 4 is loud while still delivering rich and pure sound for any genre of music. The flip 4 is louder than the Flip 3 and no distortion is heard at loud volumes. The Flip 4 is slightly bigger than the Flip 3, but remains portable enough to fit into a small cup holder. The Flip 4 is far more stable than the Flip 3, and it is less likely to roll over when hit. I do not know how to describe the buttons on the Flip 4 except to say they are much more enjoyable to press than previous JBL Bluetooth speakers. Functionally the Flip 4 can do so much exceptionally well. One of my favorite features of the Flip 4 is its waterproof capability. I dunked the Flip 4 into a sink of cold water for several minutes, and it continued to play. I listened to the Flip 4 multiple times while taking a hot shower. I allowed the water to go into all sides of the speaker, and it continued to pump out music.
While the Flip 4 is a great speaker, I was disappointed that I couldn't connect the speaker to my Charge 3 and Flip 3. The connect feature seems to be a lot easier and better on the Flip 4, but it stinks that it can't connect with previous models.
Overall the Flip 4 is a great speaker that I would buy if you are looking for a durable, waterproof, and great sounding portable speaker. You can not go wrong with this speaker. JBL has once again done a great job making a great speaker.

Great sound and base quality!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received JBL FLIP 4(BLUE) about a week ago. I owned a JBL Flip 2 before this and was awestruck by FLIP 4's appearance and feel when I opened the box. The texture of its surface feels beautiful and the grip is much better which I appreciate because I keep dropping things. Buttons are more responsive and the ports are covered which prevents dust and damage. Volume and Bluetooth controls are embossed on the surface which are not very easily visible in the same background color. Bluetooth connects quickly with phones and laptops of various brands. It's distance range is appreciable because it works perfectly fine through multiple rooms and floors. Sound and base quality is magnificent for party and EDM songs. I found the sound beats a little less impressive for songs with less instruments. It couldn't generate the expected experience for such songs. The best thing about this speaker is that it is water-proof and I can use it while showering without any fear of water splashing. Moreover, I am more than happy to have the multi-connect feature which is a must requirement in more crowded places. Although I couldn't test this feature yet, i am sure it will work fine. In a nutshell, I believe, JBL Flip4 is an unbeatable speaker in the given price range.

The JBL Flip 4 is the best speaker in it's class

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The JBL Flip 4 is an excellent portable bluetooth speaker. In my opinion, it is hands down the best portable speaker in it's price range. It produces excellent sound quality and is completely waterproof. It is very affordable and provides excellent battery life. The battery life is rated at 12 hours per charge with moderate usage. My Flip 4 was the center of attention at my sister in laws birthday party. The speaker played from around 3:00 pm until 11:00 pm at about 70 % volume. When all was said and done the battery was still indicating 2 bars left out of 5. People could not believe how long it had been playing and every one kept asking who made it and how much was it worth? I have to say that the Flip 4 is a definite steal. I also compared it against my other portable speakers and this is my conclusion. The speaker is well balanced and has a emphasis on mid-range and treble. You do not need to use an equalizer app with this speaker as it sounds very good right out the box. The sound is crisp, clear and loud with no distortion. The bass is also good and goes down to around 70hz which is impressive for a speaker this size. In fact, it has the same frequency response as the JBL Xtreme. Another great feature is the JBL connect plus, which allows you to pair up to 100+ JBL compatible speakers. I truly wish that JBL releases a firmware update for the Charge 3 and the Xtreme as I would love to be able to hear all three speakers synced and playing together. Thank you again JBL for hitting another Grand Slam with the JBL Flip 4!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Ok, I was a bit skeptical about whether or not I would upgrade from the Flip3 to the new Flip4. The answer is absolutely yes. I've compared the two over the past couple of weeks and here is why.
The Flip4 is WATERPROOF! Going to the lake, the beach, the pool? Take it anywhere... no worries!
The sound is exactly what you would expect from JBL... crisp, clear, clean and handles the volume. Bass is a bit more responsive than the Flip3, but hey, if you need bass that hurts your chest, get something larger.
Bluetooth 2.0 works as advertised and handles distance cleanly. The speakerphone is very clear! I had comments from friends who called how good the sound quality is.
OK, so you have the ability to hook up 100 speakers with Connect 3. Not sure if I could find that many, but I did connect 5 at a yard party and the worked perfectly.
Overall, for the price point, you can't beat the Flip4. Quality, sound, design, battery life... It's all there.

Unbelievable Sound and Range

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have owned a variety of JBL speakers, headphones, and home theater systems. The JBL Flip 4 has by far impressed me the most. The sound from this speaker is truly remarkable. However, what impressed me the most was the Bluetooth range. I walked downstairs to the basement of my house, and outside with my phone in my pocket and the speaker continued to play exceptional sound with no interruption. Definitely one of the best portable speakers I have ever experienced.
