Very Satisfied & A Worthwhile Upgrade

Recently upgraded from my JBL Flip 2 to the Flip 4 and satisfied with this product. Quality base & sound. Volume levels sound good at high levels. All in all, I recommend this speaker to anyone looking for a quality portable bluetooth speaker.

Much LOUDER than expected!!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This baby SCREAMS! I really wasn’t expecting this little speaker to be as loud as it is. As an owner of the Xtreme and the Clip speakers, I was expecting this to sound closer to the Clip range but to my pleasant surprise it’s very loud, making it a great ultra-portable speaker. The bass sounds decent for its size, however due to the loudness, at full volume it provides a more live sound (heights/treble/mids) as opposed to deep loud bass. I say it’s a fair tradeoff given its compact size and how loud it can actually play. Having it for a few weeks now, had a chance to really play around with it - we use it mostly around the house as it’s easy to carry around and loud enough to not bother about using the main stereo (we play it all the time when cooking in the kitchen), and recently had a chance to take it out to the beach. Was absolutely perfect at the beach as it's small and blends in with many other small beach-like items, so it’s discrete and doesn’t really stand out (other than the noize). To me this is good for traveling out of the country where you don’t want to stick out too much with luxurious items, it can be tucked away/hidden easily and you can still enjoy that great loud sound.

Smart portable speaker

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this as a test product and thought at first it was just a larger version of the clips. It's more than that! First, it has good sound quality with a good bass to it. It gets very loud too. Battery life isn't a problem and it comes charged right out of the box.
The speaker itself is heavier than I would have thought. I wouldn't take this hiking with me. I think it's great to carry around the house, bring to a tailgate or to use on a picnic on a patio or in a park.
It connects with siri so you can speak to your speaker now in addition to your apple watch or your phone. It also connects with other JBL speakers that have the JBL Connect+. It's a pretty common thought of mine that I'd like for all of my portable speakers to work at the same time giving my whole apartment sound as I move around in it. I don't have another speaker with the same feature so I wasn't able to test this. Waterproof! I've run this under water for a minute and it has been running fine.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Thank you for taking the time to provide us with your feedback. The EQ stays neutral at any volume on both speakers. However, the FLIP 4 is able to play deeper bass with a frequency response down to 70Hz as opposed to 85Hz on the FLIP 3.

Just a really well rounded speaker! I've found no obvious flaws to speak of. I sounds great, it has a great battery, its water proof, and the bluetooth connection reaches pretty darn far. I do wish it floated, but that's pretty low on the totem poll of my speaker needs. Awesome speaker!

Excellent Sound Quality

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been a fan of the JBL Flip products since the beginning. I've had the Flip 1, Flip 2, now the Flip 4. These products have a FAR superior sound than any of the competition for similar products. The sound (at reasonable volume levels, and distance away from the device) is full, encompassing the high's, mids, and lows. Every Flip iteration has been this way. After having the speaker for around a week, I'm happy to say that the battery life is amazing! I've used the Flip 4 for the majority of my shifts at work for 3 days at a moderate volume without a charge. However, I do have 2 complaints 1.'connect' and 'connect+' don't work with each other. 2. the passive radiators look silly with the plastic decorative plates, should've stuck with the brushed aluminum look. Overall, very impressive work JBL!

A step up from the Flip 3

So I loved the flip 3, but over time I needed a new speaker and was so impressed by the difference. It's louder and more durable. The sound quality is very impressive and I LOVE this product! Especially for the price!
