Great sound, perfect for pool parties

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The size, sound quality, and volume range are all amazing, just as I've come to expect from JBL products. That said, the details make the difference, so I've listed my top 5 favorite features below.
1) The IPX7 waterproof rating is awesome. IPX7 means the speaker is fully waterproof even if submerged in up to 3 feet of water. I got over my initial fear of testing it out and actually dunked this guy in a pool with no issues. Great for shower jamz and pool parties.
2) Battery life is amazing. I've been casually using this thing an hour or two every other day for a few weeks now and still haven't to recharge. The battery indicator lights under the power button are a nice touch too.
3) The Bluetooth connects quickly and easily. I also love that I can connect two devices to the speaker at once since I play music from both my phone and iPad pretty frequently. Other wireless speakers I've had in the past have required me to re-pair every time I switched devices, which was a pain.
4) The bass radiators are actually pretty dope. It's cool to see the bass in action, and it's not a feature I've seen in many other portable speakers.
5) The USB charging cable that comes with the speaker is pleasantly long. This may seem minor/dumb, but like I said, the details make the difference.
Unfortunately I wasn't able to test the JBL Connect feature since these are the only Connect-compatible speakers I have (I also own a JBL Clip 2, but that's unfortunately not compatible - photo below for size comparison though). This was a bummer because the feature sounds like something I would totally take advantage of. I also haven't tested the built-in speakerphone, but that's one I probably won't use too often.
Overall, I highly recommend this speaker. In fact, it might have just become my new gold standard for portable music players.

This was my first bluetooth speaker.
Much research and decided to wait for the Flip4 to be released.
WOW! I am amazed by the whole package.
Build quality seems great,audio is unbelievable!
Hard to imagine all that bass from such a small speaker..
Ive only had it a few days but could not be happier.

Great sound for the money

I am really happy I purchased this speaker, it was on back order so I waited almost a month to get here. The wait was worth it though! The amount of sound that comes from this speaker is amazing! Nice sound all around even a little bass! Happy with this speaker very much.

Waited to buy the newest version of the Flip and it has been well worth it. Simple to use, terrific sound, anxious for summer to get them outside on the deck. Neighbors will love 'em too!
