I bought this flip 4 for only 2 days and I notice that whenever the speaker and my phone get a distance of 5 feet or more it start to loose connection and even speed up the song. I am very disappointed idk if its just my flip 4 or does every flip 4 like this, I was scared something like this would happen that's why i purchased it directly from the company.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Thank you for taking the time to provide us with your feedback. Reception of Bluetooth can be heavily influenced by surrounding environment. We have some suggestions to possibly address the issue you're having with the FLIP 4. 1. Please note that if you have a large number of Apps open in your smartphone or tablet, this may block or overtax its processor. Dropouts may result. Try to close all or most active apps. This should solve the problem. 2. Bluetooth signals from smartphones and tablets are not very strong. Make sure that the signal does not have to pass through doors, walls etc. Always maintain a clear line of sight between transmitter and receiver. 3. Reset the FLIP 4 by following this step: In power ON mode press and hold the "Volume +" and "Phone" buttons at the same time for more than 3 seconds. Unit will power Off by itself. Now the unit is reset to factory default.. Under normal circumstances, you can expect a range of 10 meters with no problems. If none of these things work, please submit a case request at www.jbl.com/support-contact.html for information regarding your warranty options.
Bought the Flip 4 this weekend. It really does sound great, how ever the runtime touted to be 12 hours, is actually more like 4 hours at normal volume. That kinda sucks!

Thank you for the time to provide us with your feedback. Music play time with the FLIP 4 when fully charged is up to 12 hours, varies by volume level and audio content. Extended playing of audio at a maximum volume level will drain the battery faster due to higher power consumption. We apologize for any inconvenience caused.
Hello, I like the sound, it is great. But there is a feature that annoys me much - start-up sound is very loud. I like to listen to music at night with a low volume level, for example at the kitchen. But if I turn-on Flip 4 I disturb my relatives who sleep at night. It would be reasonable from JBL side to fix it in firmware update (disable the sound or decrease the volume significantly).
Been loving this thing, produces great sound and the batter life is great:) Only problem is when I plug in both the power and aux together at the same time I get some background or high pitched noise at times, but other than that (just using bluetooth) it's amazing! Worth every penny.
