Worst of the Large Ninjago Sets

Got this to go with Ninjago City, Docks & Gardens and it’s not up to the high quality standards of the other sets. Errors in the instruction books and parts in the wrong bags are only the beginning if the problems. Many of the construction techniques employed were subpar. They resulted in fragile and weak builds that come apart if you just look at them. In other places, the construction was incredibly difficult to complete as you struggled with hard to reach areas. The overall result is a flimsy build that was frustrating, especially given the sets price. It feels as though the design and development phase was rushed, resulting in a subpar set, especially for the price. Unless you are a completist, and on the other three sets, I definitely would not recommend this one.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great detailed build

Many fiddly, weak joins. Sometimes only one point of connection on a level. Missing 3 pieces, usually none missing. Does have great colorful detail.

Too Fragile

Set needs more studs to connect the levels, everything sort of shifts when you try and move it. Also, the string for the cable car can come untied, might have been if a technic rod had been used instead. It does look displayed though

I've always loved Ninjago and when I got this I was so happy! It fits well with the other Ninjago cities and is so fun with the features!

The way it fits with the ninjago city gardens is amazing. And having such excellent minifigures helps a lot to this line of models form Lego.

It was fun building this set with a few challenging parts. But even with every brick tight it can come apart pretty easily when playing with the set

A little step down from it's predecessors

So I have all 4 Ninjago modulars and I'll directly go to why I only gave it a 4 out of 5 because the positives are already stated in the other reviews.
1. Too many "hanging" connections. I call them hanging because they're only connected on one end and not supported on another or at least midway.
2. The black roof on the right side juts out and another modular can't be connected (unless it doesn't have an upper floor that'll hit it like the Garden's Pagoda). This can be remedied by taking out the said parts. I used my rack's small gap to separate them in my case.
3. The middle upper walkway is lacking. Maybe add a stall or two to spice things up.

Not bad; still a letdown

To begin, know that Ninjago City Gardens is my favorite Lego set of all time. Perfect in every way. This set is a fine addition to the Ninjago City modular line, but I find it falls far short of the Gardens in the realm of enjoyment.
Build experience was mostly straightforward. Lots of cool techniques, but in making the design less fiddly and more straightforward than Gardens, it also became a bit static and sparse.
Undoubtedly, the features that allow easier access to interior spaces in this set will be popular with those that found Gardens too much of a cramped display set. As an adult display collector, though, this set isn't nearly as fun to work through.
Still good stuff, but third best compared to Gardens and City.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
