A really challenging, really fun set. The build experience was a delight and the finished product looks awesome next to my “Lighthouse” and “Titanic”. Wish I had the original GWP but certainly not a big deal. If you’re an adult fan this is a must buy.

One of my favorite builds so far, large scale with lots of detail, final result feels like sailing ship model kits from the 1980’s, very satisfying.

Through Endurance We Prosper

The story of the Endurance is amazing. This set pays beautiful homage to one of the most iconic ships from history and it looks great. The designers vision of implementing a "no knot, no cutting" for the rigging ropes took away the most frustrating step of building such a ship for me while allowing the ropes to be reusable if the ship were to ever be disassembled. This would be a tough ship to beat for me.

I really enjoyed putting this together until I got to the stern of the boat. Followed the instructions exactly as shown. When I tried to attached some pieces on the side with the mast, it didn’t line up at all. I had to be creative in raising the mast a level higher so the outsides were even. I don’t know if anyone else had the same problem. It was a bit frustrating. Still a work in progress.

First disappointment. No lifeboat, I had to get it from a scalper in China.
I enjoyed building the first two sections and was close to finishing when there was a an important missing brick, a kind I could not pull off another set. I ordered it more than two months ago and then again. Each time I got that „we need more information„ next it was that they update the website. So here I am waiting, waiting.

This is on of the best and challenging Lego kits. The detail on this kit are great, from the sails to the rope ladders. This was a pleasure to build. I think most builders would enjoy this kit.
