The build was done over two days, and was quite straightforward.
I was pleasantly surprised at how sturdy the model was, both during construction, and upon completion.

I was immediately drawn to this kit by its visual appearance, but even more so once I read a little bit about the history of its origin. Very well thought out kit, with plenty of detail. It's hard to justify spending so much money on toys, but this one was well worth a little gift to myself.

The story of Shackleton and his leadership when they became trapped in the ice is a well known story. Being able to build the ship brought so much fun and challenges the all the family enjoyed
