I recently purchased this pan. The quality is great, however, I do not like the dark color. It bakes very differently from the lighter colored pans I already own. Perhaps making this as part of the Naturals collection would solve this issue. I also own the 7 inch version of this pan and submitted this same review/suggestion.
I cannot rave enough about the Nordic Ware 9” Springform Pan—this has truly elevated my cheesecake-making game! From the moment I opened the box, the quality was immediately evident. The pan is solid, with a sturdy, professional feel to it. The metal construction is thick and durable, ensuring it can withstand repeated use without warping. The non-stick coating is incredibly effective, making it easy to remove my cheesecakes without any messy cracks or sticking, which was always a concern with my old pans.
Baking with this springform pan has been an absolute dream. The release mechanism is smooth and secure, and the spring-loaded side makes it so easy to remove the outer ring without disturbing the delicate cake inside. I’ve never had such consistently perfect results! The even heat distribution ensures a perfectly baked cheesecake every time, with no overcooked edges, cracks or soggy bottoms.
Cleanup is also a breeze, with minimal effort needed to wash it after each use—this is truly a low-maintenance pan for all the enjoyment it delivers. I've made several cheesecakes so far, and I can't imagine using any other pan at this point. This Nordic Ware Springform Pan is a game-changer for anyone who loves baking, especially cheesecakes, and I couldn't recommend it more!
I just love Nordicware and this pan is no exception, I actually I bought two of the leakproof version. pan and it was money well spent. My Mother likes to have two cheesecakes so there is one for later. This pan is very sturdy, well made and so easy to release. The first time I baked with no spray, because I forgot and after they were chilled I just ran a wet knife all the way around the inside rim and they regaled easily When I bake , I usually spray with cooking spray for added insurance. I bought the leakproof version and although they don't leak, I like to cool my cheeseca m as in an ice water bath and so again for insurance ( I am the paranoid type) I bake the cheesecakes with an oven roasting bag, rolled up to the top of the rim and tied at the top just to be sure. I read that idea in the America's Test kitchen magazine. Better safe than sorry . I did cook the first time without a bag and they did not leak. These pans, like the rest of my collection are well made and I have had all my other N.W. pans for years with no rusting or warping. I don't work for this company I just love there products. I am not crazy about the colored cheesecake pans though. Best to stick with this type.
Loved this pan. Had no leaks, but then I noticed that an edge had curled up on the bottom pan & it leaked during baking. Will still use because it really bakes evenly and releases well.
First use of this pan and it had no seal whatsoever. The liquid ran freely out of every side. After cleaning up the mess, I tried various ways of putting in the ring, but there was no way to stop the seepage. I am not sure what I can use this pan for, but nothing that will involve any liquid. Totally disappointed!
I got this for my mom as a birthday present! She loved it and loved that there is a good warranty on it too! She makes delightful treats and will make even better treats with this great pan!
All of my bake-ware is Nordic Ware, Made In the USA but this sold by Nordic Ware pan is made in China. Sadly, it doesn't maintain a good seal for liquidy recipes. Need to put a retaining pan on the rack below to catch the drippings.
