Really happy with this castle! I hope Lego continues to make more castle theme sets. Lego brought me back into Lego with the medieval Blacksmith. This set is awsome for anyone who is a Castle Fan. Please make a whole theme with sets that are low priced and high priced like the old castle themes. This will be a great marketing opportunity just like lego city. People have massive Lego Cities due to all the sets based around Lego City. Please Lego make more castle sets so use lego castle fans can have a Lego fantasy/ kingdom!! Thank you for making a awsome set!

Best Lego Set I Have Ever Purchased

I am very impressed with this Lego set, much more after having built it. It was truly a fun build experience. I also think it is the best marriage of intricate design detail and fun to play with. I really enjoy a lot of the design and build techniques, and my 4 year old son loves playing with it as a castle playset. I often feel that some of the more intricate and advanced sets are more for hobbyist, more models than toys, but this castle meets both.
I would recommend this to a friend!

A dream that comes to life

For any castle, kingdom, and fantasy era lover, this is a must-have. The playability and display of the set is unrivaled by anything Lego has ever released. I added this to my existing medieval world and it works beautifully. I hope that LEGO will continue to release more castle themed icons, or battle packs for black falcons and lion knights. It would be great to add more lines of defense to our castle walls!

Lion Knight's Castle

For someone who loved the Lego Castle theme growing up in the 1980's this set was an amazing trip down memory lane, with some modern twists to keep us older collectors on our toes. I purchased one through the website and another at a Lego Store in DC. I am honestly contemplating ordering another one! The purely castle themed Lego sets are sorely missed and seeing a 90th Anniversary set dedicated to my favorite them was truly a cause worth celebrating. Thank you, Lego and here's to another 90 years for your amazing company!
P.S.: There is a lot of hunger for traditional castle sets after the theme was discontinued, please consider adding it back as a theme! It is so hard to find the old minifigs and especially the shields and horse saddles. I also somehow missed the Forestmen's Hideout reboot, and now it is so expensive on the secondary market. I had the original set as a child and have no idea how I missed it's rerelease recently :(

Great build ...but

I really enjoy building this set. Its great and with my son who's 4 years old; he can do this set almost himself and enjoys it allot too
The building experience is really awesome. But then there is a downside too. Allot of funny details are hidden and you won't see them ever again. The really nice water - bath tub - thing for example.. Or the kitchen itself.
This is more of a castle you build and then place somewhere as an eye catcher. Not really a "play-set" its also hard to move the set; because it can break easily from the bottom down. But for an eye catcher to be perfect. The ramp; up the castle needs a make over or redesign. Its not great and it brings down the castle from 5 stars to 4 stars.
And although really have allot of respect for woman and think equality shouldn't even be a topic. I disagree with a political statement in a place set and it even disappointed me personally. So another star of for that.
Could've been perfect. But the ramp could've been designed better and female knights is just a disappointment to me.

Fantastically nostalgic, extremely expensive

This set is a fantastic way to celebrate Lego's 90th anniversary, very playable, lots of classic elements and figures. However, it's incomparable to for example a large Technic supercar set in terms of value, and it's set at the same price as the Bugatti and Ferrari large cars. This would be a perfect set at about 60% of the price.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Best castle set ever

Castle has always been my favorite Lego theme, and I had nearly every Castle set ever made when I was a kid. This set leaves them all behind. As others have said, it’s a great build experience, with fun techniques and Easter eggs. I agree with the criticism of the ramp being too small and too steep, but the rest is so good that it doesn’t really matter. The price is high, but feels much more reasonable after you experience the finished product. That might not be true for those who are not Castle fans, but if you are, this is beyond a must have.
