This set is my first extremely large purchase after a long break from lego but I can tell you that this is the best set that I own it is a masterpiece nice to look at, fun to use and was a spectacular building experience if you have the money for it I would highly recommend buying this set

LEGO brings back the CASTLE with a bang. All of the features and lots of hidden adventure await. We built it as a family and proudly display it next to the blacksmith shop.

Best castle yet!

It was such a joy to see this massive castle in honor of Lego's 90 years. If you love castles, you will love this set. A working drawbridge, working gate, foldable walls, hidden treasures and secretes throughout the build made this so much fun! Lots of cute and classic mini figures also like the blue wizard and an ox. I love the two horses who can rear up in their full dressed armor. Every detail is special and perfect. So happy with this epic set.

Wonderful build experience

I had a blast building it, and my kids have a blast playing with it now :-) building this is monotonous at times, with some of the outside grey walls being repetitive; but there are a lot of cool moments, from the kitchen to secret hideouts and passages to moving gates and portcullis to fun building angles.
And there are a few unexpected gems like the bridge/balcony and the back entrance stairs.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Beautiful build

I was nervous to spend this much on just one set, but I have loved it so far. Packaging was excellent, instructions perfect, and some of the build techniques were pretty fun too. Learned a few new things along the way so far, and will incorporate a couple techniques into some MOC ideas I have. Overall, the Lion Knight Castle is worth the money to me.

Massive and cool but overpriced

This castle is absolutely massive and the inside is packed with details and play features. Unfortunately parts of the outside are rather plain; most notably large sections of flat gray wall that really could have used more visual detail and variation. My other major complaint is the price point. Ninjago City and Ninjago City Gardens both had more pieces yet cost far less. As a lifelong Lego Castle fan I couldn’t pass this set up, but the price really stopped me from feeling as good about the purchase as I would have otherwise. It honestly means I am less likely to buy as many additional Lego sets for the rest of the year.
